January 22, 2009 General Meeting - Annual Squadron Awards:

►Louise Johnson and Dot Richards - certificates of appreciation for their work for the Squadron

“The Bent Prop” to Lt Paul Yeaton, S by P/C Bob Johnson, AP, for behavior unbecoming a graduate of a

squadron boating course with emphasis of the recipients 40 years boating experience plus years of instructing

in boat management for tossing his anchor overboard and not being tied to the vessel! There are apparently

dire consequences for less than a prominent display of the trophy;

The Gus Seeholzer to P/C Bob Johnson, AP, by Lt/C Will Benny, JN, for outstanding contributions in education;

The Vessel Safety Examiner’s Award to Lt/C William Benny, JN, by P/C Bill Meyers, SN, for the most

vessel safety checks by a Squadron member.

The Arthur Schilling Award to P/C. Don Woods, AP, by Cdr Paul Reichert, AP, for his outstanding contribution

to the Squadron in development of the website.

May 9, 2009 - The Titusville Squadron is planning on a cardboard boat race at the May District 23 picnic. They have started on their boat already. This should be fun and the building of the boat will provide us an opportunity to get together, pool our thoughts and have a great time. I have the building regulations, but need a coordinator. It is my feeling that the coordinator should be able to pick the “volunteer” captain to paddle our ship.

Here is the way it went!
